Executive Leadership Coaching

PenLion’s approach to executive leadership coaching is based on the research work undertaken by the Center for Creative leadership and Lominger (www.lominger.com), a leading global leadership consultancy. This research is expressed in an experience proven leadership model that has been shown to be universally applicable and highly effective. The same research identified the most effective means of developing business leadership. The result is a highly acclaimed portfolio of proven tools and techniques for leadership development that PenLion is certified to apply in its coaching process.

The leadership coaching process unfolds over an intensive programme of face to face sessions supported by comprehensive assessment and development material. The process commences by establishing the prevailing leadership profile of the client using a comprehensive online 360 assessment that is used to target areas for development that are captured in a detailed action plan and acted upon in the workplace accompanied by reflective reviews. The power of the process lies in the detailed targeting of the development need and the application of research based and experience proven development tools in the actual workplace thereby linking theory and practice in the work context. The book “For Your Improvement” from Lominger completes the set of materials used in the coaching. Supporting material in the form of the client’s leadership story, psychometric tests, aspirations and the like are taken into account as required. Career Transition Coaching
The promotional transition between the major hierarchical strata in an organisation can be the source of great challenge to many aspiring executive as he/she attempts to come to terms with the new position. PenLion is able to support the organisation and individual in making sure that the transition is undertaken smoothly and effectively through the proper identification of potential for advancement and coaching through the transition.

The term “Learning Agility” coined by Lominger refers to learning new skills under first time conditions for the learner. Coaching Logistics
In order to meet client needs, PenLion can customise the delivery of its coaching services to suit a variety of circumstances. Typically, coaching takes place on a face to face basis on the client’s premises but it can also be done on neutral premises just as it can take place over the telephone or on Skype – with or without video. Similarly, coaching can take place on an individual basis, a group or team basis or a class basis.
